On January 17, the meeting of the interdepartmental working group on technical regulation “On the safety of Enriched Flour” (hereinafter as the technical regulation) was held under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan Mirhamuddin Kamolzoda in the State Institution “Republican Center for Immunoprophylaxis”. Representatives of ministries and departments as well as other relevant structures attended the meeting.
It was noted that the technical regulation will be implemented to protect the health and lives of people consuming enriched flour, as well as to prevent actions taken by producers and distributors to mislead consumers.
The implementation of the present technical regulation shall be carried out at the following facilities: enriched wheat flour of the first and highest grades for the production of bread and bakery products; the process of production, storage, transportation, sale, processing and destruction of enriched flour.
The meeting participants discussed the development of technical regulation.
Following the meeting, the representatives of the relevant ministries and departments were instructed to submit their proposals regarding technical regulation’s development to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population before the deadline.
