In the evening of December 12, 157,950 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and 302,400 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine were delivered to Tajikistan at the initiative of the government as part of the COVAX mechanism.
The vaccines have been introduced to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to provide immunization to citizens.
They are being stored in a special warehouse of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population and will be delivered to the cities and districts on demand.
The immunization campaign against COVID-19 is ongoing in all areas of Tajikistan.
