Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Tajikistan

Today, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population hosted a working meeting entitled “Accelerating necessary actions to increase access to water, sanitation and hygiene in health care facilities in Tajikistan.”

It was attended by the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Abdukholik Amirzoda, represetatives of development partners, heads of a number of the ministry’s departments and sub-departments, and industry specialists.

It was noted that Tajikistan is currently one of the active and proactive countries in solving issues related to access to water, sanitation and hygiene in the world, and calls on the international community to eliminate the problems and shortcomings in this area.

A number of participants spoke on various aspects of the meeting’s topic, as well as provided important and necessary information.
