A group of neurosurgeons from Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland are in Tajikistan under a contract.
The purpose of the visit of foreign surgeons is to exchange experience with Tajik surgeons and to expand cooperation in this field.
Today, October 22, neurosurgeons, Dr. Anton Lukes, professor Tomasz Menowski, nurse surgeon Olga Krauz, anesthetist Christian Reliks and a local surgeons performed an operation to remove a brain tumor in Pediatric Neurosurgery Department at the Shifobakhsh National Medical Center of Tajikistan. The patient was a seven-year-old resident of the city of Tunsunzoda Bibioisha Zoirova.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan has signed a cooperation agreement on sharing experience of health care professionals with several countries, according to which highly qualified specialists come to Tajikistan and perform free surgeries on patients.
