On October 23, in Nur-Sultan, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Elzhan Birtanov met with the official delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan headed by the Deputy Minister Shodikhon Jamshed and representatives of the private sector, a partner of Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan – Sifat Innotech Invest in order to discuss cooperation in the field of health care digitalization and reform.
The meeting focused on the development strategy of Kazakhstan’s health sector and priorities of development of health care of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030.
The parties expressed hope for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the health care reform of the two countries.
While speaking about the development of digitalization in Kazakhstan and the current state of the health care sector, Elzhan Birtanov noted that an important element of digitization in this area is the participation of the private sector and cooperation through public partners.
Shodikhon Jamshed highly appreciated the work done in health digitalization in Kazakhstan and appreciated the cooperation between the Republican Center for Electronic Health of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan and the Sifat Innotech Invest LLC of Tajikistan, which led to the signing of the Memorandum between the two ministers.
He noted that the role of Kazakhstan as a leader of health care reform in technology transfer to neighboring countries is significant.
In his turn, Elzhan Birtanov noted that the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan is ready to support the development and reform of the health care system in neighboring countries.
Elzhan Birtanov offered to sign an intergovernmental agreement and expand cooperation in the field of medical digitalization, including in the areas of cardiology, neurosurgery, pharmaceuticals, oncology and other areas of medicine.
The leaders of the Ministries of Health of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan are committed to further develop bilateral relations in the field of health digitalization.
